Happy long weekend lovelies! I can’t believe it’s the May bank holiday already but i’m definitely ready for it to be Summer already!
This time last year we were getting ready for our Wedding Day and I just can’t believe how fast the time has flown by (time sure does fly when you’re having fun I guess!). I’ve been working on lots of fun wedding posts for a Wedding Week on A Little Vintage Lady, sharing our day, some tips and inspiration and can’t wait to share them all with you next week. For now keep scrolling to see what lovely things are inspiring me this weekend…
As we are heading off this week, i’ve been dreaming of purchasing some pretty retro luggage. My favorite brand has to be Irish-based company Steamline Luggage. They aren’t the most budget friendly option but defo worth the investment in my opinion as they would also make gorgeous storage displays in your home. Now if only I could get my other half on board to buy it for ourselves as an anniversary present!
LOVE this retro editorial shoot from Marina Muravnik. Do you think I could replicate this on the beaches of Tenerife this week?!
I’m still kicking myself that I didn’t pick up one of those amazing flamingo and unicorn floaties when I first spotted them in Pennys/Primark a few weeks ago. However, this pearly-peachy one from Urban Outfitters is even prettier so think I may just have to get my hands on one…
How utterly delish do these White Knuckle Rocky Roads by Sharon Hearne Smith look? They don’t require any baking or need lots of special ingredients so they are defo something I could try in the kitchen!
Last week I featured my favourite looks from the Viva Las Vegas event and this week it was the turn of Dapper Day at Disneyland California to have me obsessing over the style on Instagram! Dapper Day is a fan-run day at the Disneyparks where guests turn up in their Disney-inspired vintage finery. Disney + Vintage Style = My Dream! Here are just a few of the Disney Darlings that blew me away…
Fancy a cocktail for the long weekend? With both gin AND champagne plus a sparkly straw, I think this Giggly Rose Cocktail from Studio Bicyclette is a hands down winner. Plus, the name just gets me everytime! Here’s how to make your own…
Giggly Rose Cocktail
- Mint leaves
- 4 oz gin
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- Dash of rose syrup
- Bottle of sparkling wine or champagne
- Ice cubes
- Unsprayed roses, to garnish
- Champagne flutes
- Gently massage the mint leaves between your fingers to release their aroma, then pop into the bottom of your champagne flutes.
- Combine gin, lemon juice, rose syrup and plenty of ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well and pour into the glasses, topping them up with sparkling wine.
- Garnish with the roses, add a cute straw and serve immediately.
Happy Weekend! XOXO
