It’s no secret that i’m a huge fan of Joanie. I’ve featured many of their dreamy pieces before in my wishlist posts and on my instagram so when they reached out to me to see if I would be up for doing a #joaniegal shoot I had only one answer – heck yes!
A few weeks later I was hopping on a plane to Manchester to feature in a beautifully styled photoshoot to launch their new wedding-worthy styles. It was honestly a real ‘pinch me’ moment!
I’ve never been a bridesmaid but if it is half as fun as this shoot was i’ll happily become a bridesmaid for hire! The collection was shot by the incredible crew at Tanzaro Creative at their Manchester studio. Here I met some of the loveliest ladies from the blogging and Youtube world – Chyaz, Em of Terrible Tumbles, Sade (the Bride!) of In My Sunday Best and Donna of Polkadot Pink who were just darling, super friendly and they made this nervous newbie blogger feel so welcome!
The ladies at The Vintage Beauty Parlour made us look and feel like movie stars by giving us perfect vintage makeup looks and retro hairstyles with Crown and Glory accessories and Venus Flowers ensured we had the perfect bouquets to finish our pretty bridesmaid looks.
Inspired by the Designer’s Great Aunt, a glamorous woman who twirled her way through the fifties and sixties, Joanie creates ‘pretty clothes for nostalgic souls’, a modern-take (and modern sizing!) for the vintage style lover. I honestly could happily wear just their clothes forever. The designs are swoon-worthy, the quality is amazing and the prices are incredible.
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I loved shooting them. If you’ve fallen in love with Joanie Clothing as much as I have, take a look at their brand new Wedding Shop – the lace and sparkle dresses are a dream!
