I had spotted The Colony on Instagram months ago, fell madly in love with it and saved it on my phone due to its incredible decor. When we decided to go to Florida again this year (it was actually an unplanned vacation!), I just knew we HAD to make it part of our trip!
The Colony Hotel Palm Beach
Since 1947, The Colony has hosted U.S. Presidents, European Royalty, and many a celeb. Presidents Bush and Clinton, Prince Edward, Princess Sofia, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Liza Minelli, Frank Sinatra, John Lennon, and Liberace have all stayed or dined here!
The warm welcome and glasses of champagne at check-in was so lovely after our 2+ hour road trip down from Orlando. After spending a good hour of twirling around in our pretty pink and green room, I couldn’t help but explore the other floors of this pretty hotel. We were on the peach hallway floor but there were also pastel pink, mint green, and baby blue floors!
The hotel features a beautiful and colorful clash of florals and prints designed by Dorothy Draper & Co. From the “Brazilliance” banana leaf wallpaper paired with preppy green and Flamingo Pink to the floral wallpapers in the powder rooms, the old-world feel decor is to die for. I mean, look at that pink and green hallway!
The pool area is small but oh so chic and features a pool bar too. Fun fact – The swimming pool is in the shape of the state of Florida!
The Colony is located at Hammon Ave. in Palm Beach just steps from world-famous Worth Avenue and Mid-Town Beach. You can find out more about this amazing hotel here – www.thecolonypalmbeach.com
We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at The Colony and would highly recommend it if you are visiting Florida. The place is a little piece of vintage heaven and we were treated like stars throughout our stay. Hopefully, we will get to return again!
